Independent concept

An internal library shaped by the books employees ask to have on its shelves became the starting point for this collection. We took the most requested titles as source material and translated them into apparel and objects.

Every company already has a world of its own: products, rituals, language, references, archives, places and things its people care about. We use that as source material.

A collection might begin with an internal library, a product interface, a piece of company history or something only the team would recognise. Company identity can be present without simply placing a logo on a garment.

Angéla Kudor is a trained designer with a background in film costume and specialist textile production. She leads design and creative direction.

Brigitta Kudor has a background in data and AI across technology and finance. She leads research, strategy and client work.

Quality is considered at the level of the garment: fabric, cut, weight, construction and finish. The piece should hold up as an object even without the company name attached.

Technology is increasingly abundant. Judgement and taste aren't.

Kudor Studio was founded in London by sisters Angéla and Brigitta Kudor.
